A material exploration of:
Tinfoil is a material that I am very familiar with. It has been around the house since I was a little kid. I chose it for my experimentations because I wanted to see how I could change its context from a kitchen supply into a material graphic designers could use and play with creatively. Aluminium foil has an incredible amount of possibilities when it comes to making things with it, so I wanted to focus on experiments that I saw potential in and found interesting. Every experiment I conducted, connected to another in some way. The original seed ideas and experiments were extremely successful allowing me to mix and match different techniques to get a variety of results. In the end, I realized that printing on the foil turned out to be great, although the ink would not dry very well, it made up for it in its ability to deepen the blacks, something regular paper just cannot do.
