The illustrations pictured here are the final result of my material exploration of Blu Tac. I used the pigment that I developed during this process in order to make random shapes and figures on the paper. These shapes reminded me of the times where I would stare into the clouds and try to make out characters in them. I used the same philosophy when approaching the illustrations. The whole process was very much in the moment. I would see a character and draw it extremely quickly. It felt very therapeutic at times.

As for my thoughts on the whole project, I feel as though looking back, I thought I was never going to be able to find something to do with this material. Initially I chose it because of my idea to turn it into a brush. My experimentation with this idea was a disaster and gave me difficult results to work with. I was stuck here for the longest time. When things were at their most dire, I gave in. I had to be broken down and built back up in a sense to understand the whole point of the assignment; which was to experiment. I gave in. Within a couple hours, I had figured it all out. I had the concept. All it took realistically was honest trial and error.
